Network of Resources
How many times have you found yourself with a
question about complicated tax or accounting issues or how to price
your services, and no one to ask? It’s one of the biggest challenges
for independent CPAs. As a sole practitioner or member of a small CPA
firm, you don’t have someone down the hall to ask questions of.
Now, all the expertise and experience of other
ECPAN members is available to you. Have a question about an attorney
who specializes in trusts or where to get CPE? Chances are, there’s
a member who will share his or her expertise with you.
Also, there’s group-buying power. You’ll receive discounts on software, marketing tools,
reference resources, supplies, etc.
An as the group grows, there will be even more benefits.
Susan B. Davis CPA
says
“The organization has the feeling as a big ‘virtual’ accounting
office… I can drop in via email to bounce tax questions off
members…”
Referrals
Do you have clients who need support outside of
your expertise? It can be daunting trying to refer them to an unknown
colleague. The members of
the ECPAN are an excellent source of referrals.
Among the members you’ll find experts in every aspect of
accounting.
Hank Winkelman CPA said “ECPAN
provides collegial contact with other professionals and has become an
outstanding source of referrals within the group.”
Support
Regular meetings provide a forum for discussion.
Do you need to talk about tax law changes or the newest
features of accounting software or handling difficult clients or good
resources for investments? You’ll have experts, colleagues and peers
on hand to discuss it with.
Charlene M. Ives CPA says, “Sole-proprietor
CPAs are resourceful by necessity and it’s great to share ideas with
them. It helps me serve my clients better!”
